A little help at the table.
Controls, settings and answers for SideSpin. The game is in development; the Android and iOS guidance below applies to invited testers and the planned releases.
How do I play?
Hold to rally, slide to aim, and swipe up or down for spin. Holding is the safe return; a flick attacks. The first player to seven points wins. In Settings, Controls, you can change gesture sensitivity, the timing window, Hold to return, Timing assist, a left-handed layout and the pace of the next match.
What modes are there?
Practice has four lessons and free practice. Play starts a quick match. The City Circuit is six stages against six rivals. Rally Rush counts how many returns you can make in a row. The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same match each day. Ranks and goals track your progress, and Career shows your records and rival stickers.
How do I change sound, effects and vibration?
Open Settings from Home or Pause. Under Audio, Music and Effects have separate volume sliders, and Mute all sound silences the game while keeping your levels. Under Display, Reduced effects keeps animated decoration still, and Mobile haptics turns vibration on or off. You can also change the menu style and court art there.
Can I play without an internet connection?
Yes. SideSpin is a single-player game and its modes and progress work offline. On mobile, ads, purchases and Restore purchases need a connection. There is no game account, chat, multiplayer or online leaderboard.
Where is my progress saved?
Settings, career records, ranks and goals, unlocked items, circuit progress, daily-challenge progress and a recovery save for an unfinished match are stored on the current device. There is no game cloud save or cross-device sync, and progress does not move between Android and iPhone.
Clearing the app's storage or deleting the app removes these records from the device. Your device's own backup may or may not restore them, depending on your Android or iOS backup settings. Restore purchases brings back Remove Ads only, not game progress.
The game froze or looks wrong. What should I try?
Force-close SideSpin and open it again: on Android, swipe it away from recent apps or use Force stop in the app's settings; on iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, pause, then swipe the game away. An unfinished match continues from a fresh serve with your score saved. If the problem continues, restart the device and make sure you have the latest test build, then report it.
How do I join Android playtesting?
Playtesting is by private invitation and is not open yet. Invited testers receive an opt-in link. Open it while signed in with the Google account that was invited, accept the invitation, then install SideSpin from Google Play with that same account. Updates arrive through Google Play.
Please don't share the opt-in link. If Google Play says the app isn't available, check that you're signed in with the invited account; a new invitation can take a while to take effect.
How do I join the iPhone beta?
A private iPhone beta through Apple's TestFlight is being prepared and is not open yet. Invited testers install the free TestFlight app from the App Store, open their invitation and choose View in TestFlight, then accept and install SideSpin. A TestFlight build can be tested for up to 90 days.
TestFlight automatically sends crash and usage information to the developer; the privacy policy explains this. You can send feedback with Send Beta Feedback in TestFlight or by email.
How does Remove Ads work?
Remove Ads is a single, optional, permanent purchase through Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone. It removes the bottom banner in SideSpin for the store account that bought it. The planned base price is EUR 1.99; the store shows the price for your country before you pay. It is not a subscription, and it does not unlock cosmetics or modes. Cosmetics are free; some are earned by playing.
The purchase is not available yet; it will appear in the game once the product is ready in the store. A Google Play purchase does not transfer to the App Store, or the other way round. The Windows playtest has no ads and no purchases.
Are purchases free during testing?
iPhone (TestFlight): purchases in a TestFlight beta use Apple's sandbox and should never charge you; they do not carry over to the App Store version. If you are ever asked to pay real money in a TestFlight build, stop and email support before continuing. See Apple's TestFlight help.
Android: not automatically. Joining the test track does not make purchases free. Only Google accounts that the developer has also added as license testers can use a Google Play test payment method, and the purchase dialog then labels the order as a test. If the purchase dialog does not say it is a test, a real payment method will be charged.
Ads came back. How do I restore my purchase?
Make sure the device is online and signed in to the store account that made the purchase: the Google account in the Google Play Store on Android, or the Apple Account used for App Store purchases on iPhone. Then choose Restore purchases in the game. After a confirmed restore, the game remembers ownership on this device for offline play.
Restoring works after reinstalling or on a new device, as long as you use the same store and account. A purchase made on Android cannot be restored on iPhone, or the other way round. Game progress is stored separately and is not restored by this button.
My payment is pending or I cancelled it.
If you cancel in the store's purchase dialog, nothing is bought and the banner stays. Some payments take time to confirm, for example some Google Play payment methods or an iPhone purchase waiting for Ask to Buy approval; the banner stays until the store confirms the payment. Don't buy again. When the payment completes, reopen the game or use Restore purchases.
If a payment was taken but ads remain after a restore, email support with the date of purchase and the last characters of the Google Play order number (it starts with GPA.) or the Apple order ID from your App Store receipt email. For refunds, use Google Play's refund process or Apple's Report a Problem.
How do I change my ad privacy choices?
Where Google's privacy message applies to your region, SideSpin asks for your choices before requesting ads. A Privacy choices option in the game lets you review or change them where they are required. The privacy policy explains what the ad and purchase services process.
How can I report a problem?
Email the support address on this page. Include the platform (Android or iPhone), your device model and Android or iOS version, the game version and, for a TestFlight beta, the build number shown in TestFlight, what happened and the steps that lead to it. A screenshot or short recording can help.
Never send passwords, sign-in or verification codes, or payment-card details. Don't send full purchase receipts unless a specific, redacted detail is requested, and don't post receipts or order details publicly.
